CYST/MOLE REMOVAL

Though most cysts and moles are benign, they can become cancerous. Whether it’s an aesthetic preference or a health issue, we perform cyst and mole removals in our clinic. The procedure is usually done by shave excision or by cutting out the area and re-stitching it. For a deeper rooted cyst or mole, the procedure requires a little more attention and will most likely be cut out and sutured. A concern of many patients is potential scarring, however cyst and mole removal scars are mostly un-noticeable, leaving a tiny scar that’s easily covered. Come into Riverbend for a consultation!

WART TREATMENT

When home remedies have failed to remove stubborn or recurring warts, Riverbend Medical Clinic can treat the affected areas. There are a few painless ways in which we treat warts, the first being freezing off the area called Cryotherapy. A blister will form around the wart and it will fall off within a week or so. Another popular treatment is using salicylic acid to remove the wart, the acid is painted on and left for an extended period of time until it peels away. Don’t try to pick warts – it will only make it worse!

SURGICAL SUTURE

Sutures, commonly called stitches, are sterile surgical threads that are used to repair cuts (lacerations). They also are used to close incisions from surgery. Some wounds (from trauma or from surgery) are closed with metal staples instead of sutures.
