Joining our family in 6h September 2022
Dr. Adam Neufeld received his M.D. at the University of Saskatchewan in 2020, before completing his residency training in 2022, at the University of Calgary. It was there that he acted as Co-Chief Resident for the Family Medicine program and sat on the executive board for the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s (CFPC) Section of Residents. Prior to this, Dr. Neufeld completed a B.A. (Hon) in Psychology and M.Sc. in Behavioural Neuroscience, from Carleton University, where he subspecialized in biopsychosocial aspects of health. He has a passion for medical education and humanities research, with a special interest in motivation, health, and well-being.
Dr. Neufeld has a warm and professional demeanor, and he takes pride in delivering quality care across the lifespan. Though a generalist at heart, Dr. Neufeld has background interests and training in sports medicine (including strength and conditioning), positive psychology and mental health, and women’s and men’s issues. He is comfortable with prenatal visits and newborns, young children, and adolescents, as well as adults, and the elderly. He also offers a range of services for patients, such as joint and trigger point injections (e.g., for knee, shoulder, neck, and back pain), occipital nerve blocks (e.g., for tension and migraine headaches), excisions and biopsies (e.g., for skin lesions and cosmetic concerns), IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal, and office-based counseling (e.g., for managing stress, anxiety, and depression). He hopes to offer additional services in the future, based on patient needs.
Dr. Neufeld is knowledgeable, respectful, and non-judgmental. Above all, he aims to communicate with patients in an honest way that makes them feel heard, understood, and valued. He is accepting new patients and looks forward to meeting you!
