Dr. Adam Neufeld earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2020, before completing his Family Medicine residency at the University of Calgary in 2022. During his training, he served as Co-Chief Resident for the Family Medicine program and sat on the executive board for the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s (CFPC) Section of Residents.Before entering medicine, Dr. Neufeld completed both a B.A. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Behavioral Neuroscience at Carleton University, where he specialized in health psychology. His academic background sparked a lifelong interest in the intersection of mind, body, and health. He remains deeply involved in medical education, humanities research, and community outreach, with ongoing contributions to teaching and scholarship.Dr. Neufeld provides comprehensive family care across the lifespan—from prenatal and newborn care to geriatric and palliative care. He is known for his warm, approachable, and non-judgmental manner, and for taking an autonomy-supportive approach to medicine—listening carefully to each patient’s unique needs, values, and goals. His holistic philosophy emphasizes the mind–body connection and the importance of understanding each person within their broader life context. In short, he strives to treat the person first—not the illness.While a generalist at heart, Dr. Neufeld has additional training and special interests in exercise science, nutrition and obesity management, sports medicine, and mental health. He provides office-based counselling for stress, sleep and energy concerns, anxiety, and depression, as well as a range of in-office procedures, including:Joint and trigger point injections (for musculoskeletal and joint pain)Occipital nerve blocks (for migraine and tension headaches)Excision and biopsy procedures (for skin tags, moles, cysts, corns, and warts)Toenail wedge resections (for recurrent ingrown nails or infections)Contraceptive device insertion and removal (including Nexplanon implants)Looking ahead, Dr. Neufeld plans to expand his procedural offerings to include vasectomy and sclerotherapy for varicose and spider veins.

Dr. Kyle completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad in 2015. He began his medical career at Port of Spain General Hospital in Trinidad before returning to Canada in 2018, where he provided acute care coverage as a Clinical Associate with the Internal Medicine and Neuro-Medicine departments at the University of Alberta Hospital and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.After completing his Family Medicine residency at the University of Alberta, Dr. Kyle has gone on to practice across Alberta in community clinics, emergency departments, and hospital settings, delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to diverse patient populations.Dr. Kyle’s scholarly and clinical interests include hypertension, cardiac disease, and complex chronic disease management. He is dedicated to applying evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes and empower individuals to take an active role in their health.

Dr. Lily Han is a proud alumna of the University of Calgary, where she completed her undergraduate degree, medical training, and Family Medicine residency. Before pursuing medicine, she earned a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology.As a Family Physician, Dr. Han provides comprehensive, full-scope family medicine services to patients of all ages. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, allowing her to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.Dr. Han’s clinical interests include mental health, gender-affirming care, and women’s sexual health. She is also a registered PrEP provider in Alberta, offering inclusive and evidence-based care to support her patients’ overall well-being.

Dr. Kattey is a family physician with training and experience across Nigeria, the UK, the US, and Canada. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, and holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA; residency training in both Family Medicine in the UK and Community Health in Nigeria, and a diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.He provides comprehensive, patient-centred care with special interests in preventive health (including disease screenings, smoking cessation), women’s and children’s health, chronic disease management, and mental wellness. He is also passionate about culturally sensitive care for minority groups, newcomers, immigrants and refugees.

Dr. Mohsen El Tarchichi has a special interest in abdominal and liver diseases. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in 1998, followed by his Internal Medicine specialty and Gastroenterology fellowship at the American University of Beirut in 2002 and 2004, respectively. In 2021, he obtained Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification and fellowship as a Specialist in Internal Medicine.Dr. El Tarchichi is fluent in English and Arabic, and is also able to communicate in French and Lithuanian.Throughout his career, Dr. El Tarchichi has been recognized for his excellence in clinical practice, research, and patient care. His distinctions include the Best Junior Resident Award and Best Senior Resident Award for outstanding clinical and academic performance, as well as the First Prize Research Award and the Safety Guardian Award for exceptional contributions to patient safety and quality care.Patients know Dr. El Tarchichi for his kind, caring, and compassionate approach, and his commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered medical care.

Dr. Annie Gupta is a Specialist in Internal Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States and has since practiced medicine in both the U.S. and Canada. In 2021, she obtained her Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Internal Medicine.Dr. Gupta’s clinical interests include the management of diabetes, thyroid disease, asthma, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease. She emphasizes preventative medicine to help patients optimize their current health and build a strong foundation for long-term well-being.A member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Dr. Gupta has been recognized for her excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of pediatric conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral concerns, as well as respiratory, allergic, gastrointestinal, growth and developmental, and nutritional issues.He is dedicated to promoting healthy growth and development and takes a family-centered approach, working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to ensure that each child receives personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Habiba values open communication and strives to make every visit a comfortable and positive experience for both children and their families.With his broad expertise and warm bedside manner, Dr. Habiba is committed to supporting children’s physical, emotional, and developmental well-being — from infancy through adolescence. As one of Riverbend’s longest-standing members, she plays a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting staff, and ensuring that the clinic runs efficiently and with care. Known for her warmth, reliability, and approachable nature. Candice is a trusted leader who helps foster the supportive, patient-centered culture that Riverbend is known for.In addition to her managerial role, Candice also serves as the Internal Medicine Assistant for Dr. Mohsen El Tarchichi and Dr. Annie Gupta. In this capacity, she coordinates patient care, manages scheduling and communications, and ensures that both physicians and patients are well supported throughout every stage of the care process. Her reliability, compassion, and depth of experience make her an invaluable part of the internal medicine team.Outside of work, Candice enjoys playing darts, spending time with her dogs, and relaxing with family and friends. Her expertise in patient care coordination, referrals, and administrative systems ensures that every aspect of the clinic runs efficiently and with care.Working closely with Riverbend’s physicians and staff, Isabella oversees referral management, patient communications, and clinic workflows, helping to create a seamless, compassionate, and organized experience for every patient. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and calm presence make her a trusted resource and steady support for both patients and colleagues alike.Beyond her operational leadership, Isabella is known for her creative vision and commitment to continuous improvement, often helping develop clinic processes, educational materials, and community outreach initiatives that reflect Riverbend’s patient-centered values.Outside of the clinic, Isabella enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her partner and cat.
